Many Italians know this recipe by heart. Called torta sette vasetti (鈥渟even-jar cake鈥), it鈥檚 almost embarrassingly simple to make. The ingredients add up to seven 鈥渏ars鈥 when you use a yogurt container as the measuring cup.
The yogurt and olive oil combine to create a wonderful, tart-sweet flavor. You can serve it cut in half and topped with jam. While it鈥檚 great plain, there are dozens of ways to vary it by adding spices, fruit, chocolate and more.
