How to Use the Imperative in Italian

In English, as in most languages, when we want to express a request, extend an invitation or even give a direct command, we rely on the imperative:
鈥淐lose the window!鈥
鈥淒on鈥檛 fill up on sweets!鈥
Constructing the imperative in English is easy, since it鈥檚 basically a verb in its infinitive form. In Italian, however, the infinitive form can only be used in one specific case. (We鈥檒l delve into that soon enough.)
